These are some photographs from our 78th Anniversary Battle of Britain Day Exhibition on Saturday 15th September 2018, it certainly was a long and exhausting two days for us as we set up our indoor displays on Friday then worked hard during Saturday’s proceedings and then packed everything away after the event came to a close.
All of the photographs were taken by various members of the Society and associates. We would also like to thank everybody for their kind support yesterday and what a couple of great flypasts from the Tiger Moth which had one of our members (Terry) on board and of course the BBMF Lancaster which brought a tear to many people’s eyes with a superb flying performance. We were also lucky enough to have a veteran with us, a former Lancaster Flight Engineer of 115 squadron, David East.
A special thanks also goes to our President Iain Duncan Smith and his black Cocker Spaniel Jobi (star of the day) and not forgetting our Vice President Brendan Finucane who both joined us for part of the day, one of the local MP’s Julia Lopez, also attended the day’s events.
We would also like to thank the 1838 Elm Park Air Training Corps for the use of their facilities and a big thanks goes to all of our sponsors for their very kind donations.
